On September 23rd, 2017, Pedro Carvajalino, driver of the Zurda Konducta program of VTV (the state channel, run by the Chavez government) was at the Hotel Hesperia in Valencia, when an opposition group confronted him, Carvajalino pushed a woman and was beaten.
Opponents were deprived of their liberty and will be detained in the Prison Center located in Tocuyito (one of the worst Venezuelan prisons), without prior trial. They are accused of committing the following offenses: Instigation to hatred, agavillamiento, and minor injuries, thus evidencing a vicious judicial system.
