In the morning hours of Saturday, August 5th, 2017, Attorney General Luisa Ortega Díaz was barred from entering the Public Prosecutor's Office and her escort was assaulted. After retiring, the new National Constituent Assembly suspended Luisa Ortega from her position, following the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice.
